This year we celebrated Family Literacy Day with a "Reading at Home" photo contest, an author visit from Ruth Wellborn for the K-6 students, and two days of Virtual Reality with Mr. Klassen! Each of the classes from K-9 chose a Google Expedition and explored the world with VR.
The grade 3-4 class and the grade 7-8 class also took their literacy activities further, with a shared Teams Meeting experience. The grade 7-8 class read their Fairy Tale Parodies to the younger students, and then the grade 3-4s read their own fairy tales to their older partners! The hallways were buzzing with excitement as our budding authors shared with one another. We've had a great week!
